Go Go Gris-Gris is music that naturally belongs on stage. Concerts, festivals, small or large venues: as soon as the groove settles in, the instruments start playing off one another and something begins to flow between the band and the audience. The second line is never far away — and neither are the dancing feet.

Gris-Gris gets the music moving. Drummer, singer, washboard and harmonica player, he keeps the thread running through it all. Around him, the musicians bring their own colors, textures and breath. Depending on the night, the lineup tightens or expands — trio, quartet, quintet — shaped by the songs and what they call for. Each musician extends the gesture, enriches the sound and opens up the space. The format may change, but the identity remains the same.

Soul, funk, blues, second line, Mardi Gras Indian: these influences meet without trying to recreate a particular era or sound exactly as it was.
