Washboard Boogie Bang: blues, boogie and swing band

Sometimes, it doesn’t take much to get a room moving: a rhythm that hooks you, a few blues notes, a crackling washboard, and that joy of playing that instantly travels from the stage to the audience. That’s where Washboard Boogie Bang comes from. Straightforward music, made for the sheer pleasure of live performance, concerts and festivals, with an intimacy that quickly makes everyone feel like they’re part of the show.

Boogie, blues, swing, vocals and a crackling washboard… Roots music that is lively and warm, able to fill a room without ever overwhelming it. It can take center stage at a concert, then become more intimate when brought to a wedding, cocktail reception, private party or corporate event.

At the heart of the project is the washboard. It provides the drive, the color, and that instantly recognizable sound. Around it, a tight-knit group of musicians who know how to play to the venue, the moment and the audience: raising the energy when needed, or letting the music breathe when the atmosphere calls for something softer.

Washboard Boogie Bang performs across France and throughout Europe, at concerts and festivals, as well as in bars, restaurants, weddings, cocktail receptions and private events.

Music made for the stage, yet intimate enough to come and play for you.
